Keselowski Wins Fifth Nationwide Race of 2014

KeselowskiMooresville, NC (November 12, 2014)  Brad Keselowski put himself in a great position to take advantage of a late race restart and win the DAV 200 – Honoring America’s Veterans NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday afternoon.

Keselowski and the number 22 Team Penske worked hard all day competing in the top 5 for most of the race. On the final restart, Keselowski dashed to the inside of race leader Kyle Busch and powered past him in turn one to win his fifth Nationwide race this season.

“We didn’t give up,” said Keselowski in Victory Lane. “It was a little bit surreal. I really didn’t even know the race was over but I’m really proud of my team and everything we’ve accomplished this year.”

Team Penske heads into the season finale at Homestead Speedway next weekend with a 29 point lead in the Nationwide Series Owner’s Championship.

The winningest driver in World of Outlaws World Finals Jimmy Owens found Victory Lane once again Saturday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with help from his Jack Cornett built RY45 engine.

Jimmy Owens battled with World of Outlaw favorites Tim McCreadie and Scott Bloomquist midway through the 50 lap A-main before taking the lead on lap 33. The track’s bottom groove came in strong and Owens never looked back, capturing his 10th career World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory.

“It’s awesome to come here and get this win,” said Owens. “This is a really big race for us because there’s always a big crowd and there’s always stiff competition. These are the best drivers in the country and to beat them never gets old.”

Joey Logano will be racing for his first Sprint Cup Series Championship on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Logano was one of four drivers who advanced to NASCAR’s New Championship round after finishing sixth at Phoenix. The driver who finishes the highest out of Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Newman, and Kevin Harvick in the Ford EcoBoost 400 will be crowned the 2014 Champion.
