Bel-Ray Sponsored Racer Jason Anderson Takes Victory At Ama Supercross Detroit

belreyBel-Ray supported racer and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider secured the win during the 450SX main event at the 11th round of the AMA Supercross in Detroit, Mich., March 19.

After a mid-pack start in his heat race, Jason Anderson quickly closed in on the top five by lap three. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider showed impressive moves in the main, by the last lap managing to climb into second position before the checkered flag flew for the event. After the close of the race, officials penalized competitor Ryan Dungey for an on-track infraction, which moved Anderson up to first place.

“I had a great day of practice,” said Anderson. “My day went really well. In the heat race I came out, got to fourth and stayed there to qualify. When I got to the main I got a pretty good start based on where my gate was. For the most part I just kind of stayed behind Marvin, and he ended up falling so he kind of gave me second. It felt good to see the leader the whole time and know I was on-pace. I mean I always knew I had the speed, but I’m finally starting to show it.”

belreyJason Anderson currently remains third in overall point standings for 450SX. Fellow Bel-Ray supported racer Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing holds second place overall in points for 450SX.
