Kaltura OTT TV Solution Enables Fast Launch Of Multiplatform Service

KalturaKaltura (www.kaltura.com), provider of the leading video technology platform, and 3 Screen Solutions, a leading provider of customized software solutions and services to the multiscreen digital entertainment industry, announced today that TEN: The Enthusiast Network has selected Kaltura OTT TV, including innovative front end development provided by 3 Screen Solutions, to power its new Motor Trend OnDemand subscription video on demand (SVOD) service, the first SVOD service for automotive enthusiasts.

The multi-screen Motor Trend OnDemand is currently available on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, Roku and mobile apps for Apple iOS and Android-equipped smartphones. It will soon be extended to additional digital video devices, such as Apple TV.

The service will provide exclusive access to more than 1,000 hours of programming for automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts, including event coverage, archives, and films; the 60+ live motorsports events each year for which Motor Trend OnDemand is the sole North American distributer; exclusive first-look access, bonus episodes, and behind-the-scenes footage from TEN’s original programs; and several new original series exclusive to Motor Trend OnDemand.

The Motor Trend OnDemand service was developed as part of a new and ongoing partnership between Kaltura and 3 Screen Solutions. This collaboration unites 3 Screen Solutions’ front-end and multiscreen user interface as a custom solution added on to Kaltura’s OTT TV solution, which serves as the backbone of the initial TEN service.

By choosing Kaltura and 3 Screen Solutions, TEN was able to launch their SVOD service in less than four months. The service is optimized for usability, branding, advanced social interactivity and discovery, and personalization.
